In this article, Adrian Sainz, discusses a new health care reform law that would help cover seniors who prefer to stay in their home; rather than go to an institution or nursing home. AARP surveys show that 9 out of 10 seniors prefer to stay at home. An important provision in this new law is CLASS (the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports act. Sainz goes on to say, with regards to CLASS, "It will allow adults with mobility problems to receive home care through a voluntary insurance plan. A handful of other programs will improve access to home and community-based services to complement CLASS, including one that provides matching federal dollars to states that expand their home care services."
